“When writing this song, I thought about what I would want to say to my other half on our wedding day. I also thought about the feelings that would overwhelm me on this special day. During the song’s creation, there was a special feeling I tried to capture in words. When life blesses you with meeting someone who allows you to be truly free, complements you, and gives you the feeling of home — whether you're in a luxurious villa abroad or in a tent by a lake — the place no longer matters. Because home isn’t just a place; it’s also a person who makes you feel that way. That’s why the song is titled 'Tu esi manas mājas',” says Aivo Oskis.
The romantic and emotionally rich message has already moved listeners — after posting a snippet of the song on social media, Aivo has received several invitations to perform it at wedding ceremonies.
“I’m a romantic person. I’ve always been inspired by beautiful and genuine love. I believe this song will touch those who love, those who have loved, and those who are still dreaming of true and heartfelt love. Invitations to perform this song at weddings are a great honor and show that the song can be special to others as well, expressing their emotions on their important day,” says Aivo.
The video clip is an emotional addition to the song — it features a couple who have just gotten married and are celebrating their special day with their loved ones, while reflecting on their journey together. The main roles are played by Karīna Lapšina and Aigars Ondzulis, whose natural chemistry adds even more emotional power to the video.

“This was my first project where I took on the role of director myself, to visually reflect the emotion I wanted to convey to the viewers. I’m grateful to the large team — nearly 50 people — who helped bring this dream to life,” says Aivo.
The video shoot also involved cinematographers Kaspars Dvinskis and Marks Bērziņš, while photographers Evita and Raimonds Valpēteri captured the process in images. Special thanks go to the Zeltiņš family, who allowed this idea to become a reality in their beautiful home.
The song “Tu esi manas mājas” is a reminder not to forget — true home is where the heart is.
