“Thinking, talking, and now even writing about life’s core values has become part of my daily routine. I believe that, deep in the recesses of the mind, everyone has had a moment of reflection about life, its flow, its meaning, and its purpose. And then, with the help of the heart’s wisdom and intuition, one begins to walk their own path of truth. It doesn’t take long to realize the true and genuine values of life. Our ancestors had long ago described these and passed them down to us through generations. All that remains is to find the right moment in this temporarily ‘modern’ world to listen to the unchanging reality of life,” says Ingars Viļums.
Antra Stafecka adds about their collaboration: “Folk songs have united us both. Everything is said so clearly and simply in just a four-line verse. But if you listen closely, you can dive into the emotions of the universe. So many codes are hidden within, it’s beyond comprehension, only to be felt and understood. We’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from both our ancestors and the great writers’ folk songs to create our own four-line verses and stories.”
To mark the release of the album, Antra Stafecka and Ingars Viļums are inviting everyone to emotionally charged concerts across Latvia, where audiences can hear both the new songs and beloved tracks from their previous projects. The first “Manas zemes sirds” concert is scheduled for March 25th in Riga at the VEF Culture Palace, where Antra Stafecka’s musical friends will join, including the band Jumprava, Uldis Marhilēvičs, Ivo Grīsniņš-Grīslis, Atis Ieviņš, Andris Ērglis, Mārtiņš Kanters, Jānis Čubars, and many others.
Following that, concerts will be held on March 28th at Vidzeme Concert Hall in Cēsis, March 30th at Jelgava Culture Center, April 4th at Ogre Culture Center, April 5th at Liepāja OC Rose Hall, and April 11th at Valmiera Culture Center. During the tour, Antra Stafecka and Ingars Viļums will take the audience through their musical feelings and stories, deeply rooted in Latvian culture and identity.
The new song "Krustiem un līkumiem" reflects the hardships and beauty of life's journey, while also encouraging listeners to recognize the importance of understanding their identity and loving their homeland. This message is enhanced by the music video, whose concept and direction were crafted by Antra herself. The video features the youth dance collective Dzīpari from Ogre State Gymnasium. The video was created by Harijs Blāze.
