Latvian Auto Racing Festival to Take Place in Biķernieki on September 15

On September 15, Biķernieki racetrack will host an auto racing festival for the whole family. The event will feature the MANO Superlaps racing series, the final races of the Latvian Auto Racing Championship's ABC Race and V1600 classes, as well as a variety of fast Formula Historic and historic VAZ and VOLGA vehicles. The day will conclude with a highlight event—a 100-minute endurance race for both spectators and drivers.

The MANO Motorsport Events season finale has become a great tradition for closing the Latvian auto racing season. This year, the organizers are focusing not only on track racing but also on off-track entertainment. Throughout the day, children will have access to various activities, and a special relaxation zone will be set up where attendees can enjoy watching the racing cars and spending time in a positive environment.

The MANO Superlaps series, featuring both street and race cars, will hold its fifth and final event of the season, promising intense competition for those crucial fractions of a second. In recent events, around 40-50 cars have competed, including fast, beautiful, and powerful models like Audi RS, BMW M, and Porsche. Car enthusiasts will find it exciting to see these cars in action on the track and up close in the paddock. It's worth noting that the paddock will be open to all spectators.

In the afternoon, the Latvian Auto Racing Championship, Formula Historic, and historic VAZ and VOLGA cars will take over the track. This will be the final event of the season for the ABC Race and V1600 classes, so fierce competition is expected until the very last finish line. Organizers are particularly pleased that the historic VAZ and VOLGA races will see a large number of participants, including legends like Antons Dolgopolovs and Andrejs Paupers returning to the track after several years.

The day will end with a 100-minute endurance race, which will be held for the fourth consecutive year. Each year, the number of participants has been increasing, and this time, many different auto racing vehicles will take part. Cars from the ABC Race, V1600, VAZ, VOLGA, and YOUNGTIMER CUP classes will compete. A new feature this year is the division of the YOUNGTIMER CUP into two classes based on engine capacity—up to and over 2 liters.

Additionally, two different Biķernieki track configurations will be used throughout the day. The ABC Race, V1600, Formula Historic, and VAZ/VOLGA races will take place on the classic car circuit, while the MANO Superlaps and 100-minute endurance races will use the combined large circuit, which includes both car and motorcycle sections. The 6-kilometer combined circuit is used only once a year, specifically for the MANO season finale.

Tickets for the Latvian auto racing season finale are priced at 10 euros, granting access to both the grandstands and the paddock. Tickets can be purchased in advance from AULA.LV or on the day of the event at the main entrance of the Biķernieki track. Admission is free for children up to 12 years old and for people with disabilities. More information about the races for both drivers and spectators can be found at www.manoevents.lv. Updates can also be followed on MANO Motorsport Events' social media profiles on Facebook and Instagram.
