“Sometimes I miss real romance so much — not just in the context of relationships but also in the everyday routines — romanticizing the impressions, experiences, and stories we gather. For this reason, the song expresses my disappointment in society's accepted norms and the usual daily routine, which is quite predictable and can feel impersonal. The chorus 'Romance isn’t dead' is a statement I truly want to believe in, but it’s becoming harder and harder to do so,” explains Chris Noah about the song.

This is not Chris Noah’s first time writing a song for Eurovision. In 2023, his collaboration with Latvian producer JJ Lush — the song “Stay” — performed by Lithuanian artist Monika Linkyte, triumphed in the Lithuanian Eurovision national selection and finished in 11th place at the Eurovision final in Liverpool, UK. Additionally, last year, Chris Noah joined Don at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden, to perform backing vocals on the song “Hollow.”
For the upcoming Latvian Television song contest "Supernova," the jury has selected 20 participants, who will compete live on February 1, 2025, for a spot in the February 8th final. The winner will have the chance to represent Latvia at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, this May.
