Chris Noah Releases His Most Ambitious Record to Date

Singer Chris Noah has just released his new album "Goodbyes Aren’t Sad if We Know We’ll Meet Soon", crafted in the style of 80s pop music. Released under Sony Music Entertainment, the album features 10 songs in Latvian and one in English. Along with the album release, the first single "Kādreiz" is now hitting radio stations.

"This full-length album definitely marks a new phase in my music. I tried to connect two worlds—musically, I drew parallels with pop music from the last century, while lyrically, I focused on topics that are very relevant to me right now. Each song is a real story about real people and emotions," explains Chris Noah about the album.

The album was created over roughly a year and a half, but the finishing touches were made this summer. While performing at concerts, Chris Noah spent a lot of time in the recording studio, focusing on compositions, lyrics, and how he wanted the record to sound. While Chris Noah is primarily the lyricist, the musicians featured on the record are a group of his close collaborators and friends, including keyboardists Krists Krūskops and Mārcis Jukumsons-Jukumnieks, guitarist Kaspars Vizulis, percussionist Jēkabs Zemzaris, and saxophonist Artūrs Sebris. Additionally, the string quartet "Juno", drummer Rūdolfs Dankfelds, brass players Vadims Dmitrijevs and Reinis Puriņš, percussionist Uģis Upenieks, and vocalists Estere Tauriņa, Gabriela Zvaigznīte, Linda Anete Rušeniece, and Kristīne Prauliņa also contributed to the album.

The song "Kādreiz" holds a special memory for the artist: "The day we recorded the strings was particularly beautiful. My colleagues and I were simply mesmerized by the instruments' magical sound. It had been a long time since I felt like a child in a candy store, and for that, I owe thanks to the string quartet Juno. Throughout the recording process, I could feel how quickly we were progressing in every aspect of the album. I challenged myself to minimize vocal corrections in post-production. As a result, I spent much more time recording vocals, but now, listening back, I feel it has paid off. After releasing the album and this single, I feel a little tired, but I’m immensely grateful to those who supported me and helped me finish and present this record to a wider audience."

Both the single "Kādreiz" and the album were produced by English producer Kristofer Harris, who, alongside musicians Krists Krūskops and Kaspars Vizulis, provided invaluable support throughout the recording process.

Chris Noah's biggest solo concert to date will take place on November 7th at Palladium, where he will perform songs from the new album "Goodbyes Aren’t Sad if We Know We’ll Meet Soon", as well as some of his fan-favorite tracks. The concert is supported by StarFM, Rīgas Viļņi, Delfi, Diena, and Sensum Group.
