Denijs Grieze Drops His Latest Track, "Kā mazs bērns" ("Like a Small Child")

Singer and songwriter Denijs Grieze releases a new song, "Kā mazs bērns" ("Like a Small Child”). His debut album is expected to be released this spring.
Denijs, who has written all his previous songs, is also the author of this new track.

While working on his upcoming album, he has collaborated with some of the best Latvian music producers. The new song was produced by the experienced hitmaker FAKTS, also known as Jānis Šmēdiņš, who has worked extensively with leading Latvian hip-hop and R&B artists. It’s no surprise that Denijs incorporates rap elements into his new song as well.

Denijs on the song: "The song 'Like a Small Child' is about seeing life through the eyes of a child again. As we grow up, we all go through various difficulties and challenges that often harden our hearts toward others and the world around us. Our hearts develop a kind of protective layer, shutting others out.

This song is about preserving and restoring our inner innocence and soft-heartedness. As children, none of us dreamed of growing up just to live with a bowed head, struggling with addictions and misfortunes. Where have our dreams gone? Where is that childlike drive that made us believe everything is possible and that the sea only reaches our knees? Let’s cast away whatever makes us numb."

So far, the singer has already released two songs recorded in duet with Nikolajs Puzikovs, whose video versions have surpassed 1.5 million views. His most successful solo song to date has been "Laimīgs" ("Happy"), which was among the top 10 most-played songs on several radio stations in 2024.
