DIONA brings longing and emotions with the song "Paradīze"

Singer and songwriter DIONA releases her latest single "Paradīze," an energetic pop/house music composition with a deep emotional message. The song speaks of loss, longing, and the internal struggle that remains as an inseparable part of a person's inner world.

"This is a very personal story from my life – like all my songs," Diona reveals. "Paradīze, to me, represents those euphoric emotions and feelings that a close person can give, but it is sometimes almost like a paradox of humanity – we start to value what we’ve gained only when it is no longer present.

Often, it’s only after a relationship ends that we realize how much it was undervalued in the rush of everyday life. The song is about longing, memories, and the struggle between wanting to forget and not being able to. It also reveals how hard it is to completely free oneself from these feelings because they remain as an inseparable part of a person's inner world," Diona explains.

"Paradīze" offers a unique listening experience – its rhythmic and energetic pop/house music with an EDM touch, which is new for Diona herself, contrasts with the melancholic message, creating a sensation where one can both dance and dive into deep thoughts. The song reflects an emotional journey in which the lyrical “I” tries to break free from the past and painful memories but cannot fully escape them. And it’s no secret that often emotions create quite a vivid sensation in people – colorful memories live on, but in reality, they transform into black-and-white frames.

The origins of "Paradīze" trace back to three years ago, but it was completed only at the beginning of this year, bringing a well-developed, modern sound. The lyrics and music are written by Diona herself, while rapper Grafomāns (Artūrs Breģis) contributed to the depth of the lyrics.
