Dons releases the song “Jau rīt” and announces a concert at Daugava Stadium, Riga

Musician Dons returns to his listeners with a playful country-inspired sound in the song “Jau rīt”. The release is accompanied by the announcement of his upcoming concert “Tuvums”, which will take place on August 15 next year at Daugava Stadium in Riga. At the same time, the artist is actively working on his tenth studio album, which will be released in the summer of next year.

“The song ‘Jau rīt’, created in Berlin, is a collaboration with producer Kim W and musician Miks Frišfelds. For me, this process was an exciting play with ideas, recalling and drawing inspiration from country pop songs that were popular during my teenage years,” says Dons.

The new single is a forerunner of an eventful year ahead. On August 15, listeners will be able to experience a grand meeting with Dons at the ‘Tuvums’ concert at Daugava Stadium, where both long-loved songs and new compositions will be performed, promising a feeling of togetherness and celebration for everyone present.

“The concert title ‘Tuvums’ came to me naturally; it most accurately reflects the feeling that arises when thousands of people gather together and unite in song. At Daugava Stadium, we are awaiting a big, special, and very emotional event – it will be togetherness, singing, and a festive atmosphere,” Dons shares.

Musician Dons is one of Latvia’s most experienced and beloved contemporary artists. He has released nine solo albums and has received numerous music awards. In 2024, Dons represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Hollow”, which ranked 16th in the contest’s grand final.
