The band’s lead vocalist and lyricist Ēriks Gorda shares about the creation of the EP:
“This EP has been growing with us for the past three years — through turbulent times for humanity — and now it feels like a celebration of human resilience. ‘Pāri Torņiem Pacelties’ essentially encourages listeners not only to fight but also to enjoy this unpredictable life along the way. It carries a sense of constant movement forward — the courage to take risks, to dance, to love, and not to let life turn grey. It’s music about the human spirit and passion that drives us to live with an open heart.”
Music production was handled by Matīss Priedols and Krišjānis Laizāns, arrangements were made by Matīss Priedolsand Ēriks Gorda, while Bruno Brauns was responsible for the final sound mastering.
“Although the core of EMBARK has remained the same, we’ve grown a lot and gone through major changes in recent years, experiencing all the intensity of youth — which is what our new mini-album is about. I took on the main producer role for this album, which was a new challenge and gave us greater experimental freedom. We played around a lot with samples, instrument tones, and layers — like a puzzle, where every piece has its place and nothing should be excessive. Looking back, the discipline and amount of work we put in feel almost unbelievable, so I’m proud and satisfied with what we’ve achieved,” says producer and songwriter Matīss Priedols about the making of the mini-album.
