Emīlija releases her debut full-length album “Par tiem, kas man pagāja garām”

Today, April 23, musician Emīlija presents her long-awaited album “Par tiem, kas man pagāja garām” to listeners. The album includes nine tracks, two of which – “Lauzu sevi” and “Kā māsa, kā smilgas” – have already been embraced by audiences.

It weaves together the warmth of childhood and the challenges of growing up, wrapped in lyrical poetry and heartfelt melodies, allowing every listener to find a piece of themselves in it.

About the creation of the album, Emīlija shares: "This album is a collection of real stories. In the process of creating it, I tried to be honest with myself — reflecting both everyday moments and the events that have shaped me as a person and artist. I wanted to capture relationships with people and the ever-changing nature of time. I look back emotionally at how my voice has evolved over time, and how I've gained the courage to write songs about experiences I once couldn’t put into words."

The music and lyrics are written by Emīlija herself. The music was produced by Evija Vēbere, arrangements by Toms Mikāls, and the final sound mix by Toms Lisments.

"Emīlija’s music has been close to my heart since her childhood. It was an honor to hear her first song “Find Your Stars” — a piece that truly reflects Emīlija’s essence. She bravely walks her own path, telling deeply personal and honest stories through her music, while constantly growing. Working on this album was incredibly special and meaningful to me."

"I worked closely with pianist Toms Mikāls — every song was crafted with love and full dedication. The process gave us not only creative fulfillment but also many moments of inspiration and emotion. We’re deeply grateful to Emīlija for her trust, creative freedom, and the chance to be part of her story," shares Evija Vēbere.

Emīlija is currently studying jazz vocals at the Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, Denmark, continuing to refine her skills and gaining international recognition. In Latvia, she’s already received acclaim in the music industry with her debut EP “Augustā”, which earned a nomination for Best Debut, and she has performed on stages across the country.
