“Sonorous and emotionally charged – that’s how the work on this record felt,” recalls group member Jānis Ķirsis. “We’ve been passionately searching for something uncharacteristic of our past sound, and every song’s message is like a special story for each of us.”
“I literally can’t wait to celebrate the final result together and share our fresh music with the listeners,” says Rūta Dūduma-Ķirse with excitement. “This will definitely be my new favorite album of 2025! And just as impatiently I’m waiting for December, when we’ll celebrate our 20th anniversary concerts across Latvia in full lineup.”
“This is a joyful moment – we’ve come together again to celebrate music,” adds Mikus Abaroniņš. “The end of summer, good weather, and a Framest album presentation concert with new and also well-loved songs seems like a perfect combination.”
“We’ve been in a kind of winter sleep for a while, but now we want a bright, heartfelt summer evening full of new music together,” adds Beāte Zviedre. Roberts Memmēns notes: “For me, this album is about returning to my roots and at the same time – about a new beginning. After spending the last five years entertaining young people with large-scale shows, it’s time to slow down a little and move into the next chapter of life.”
The new song was recorded at the Auss studio and produced by Roberts Memmēns, while the music video was directed by Valdis Krūmiņš.

The lineup of the vocal group Framest includes soprano Beāte Zviedre, alto Rūta Dūduma, tenor Mikus Abaroniņš, baritone Jānis Ķirsis, and bass Roberts Memmēns. The group first gained wider recognition by participating in the international pop music contest New Wave and the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Their repertoire has always been diverse. In concerts in Latvia and abroad, Framest performs original a cappella arrangements of both their own works and pieces by other composers – from classical and jazz to pop music and beyond. They have also collaborated with Latvian music legends such as Raimonds Pauls, Zigmars Liepiņš, and Jānis Lūsēns, as well as with Peter Eldridge – the artistic director of the world-famous vocal group New York Voices and a Grammy Award winner.
So far, the group has released three studio albums: “Svētki ledus pilī” (2012), “All That Jazz” (2014), and “Amber Jazz”(2015).
The new single “Vēlmes” from the fourth album “Framest 2.0” is already being played on Latvia’s top radio stations and is available on major music streaming platforms.
