Vocal Group “Framest” Releases New Single Featuring Gustavo

The vocal group “Framest” has released a brand-new single, “Tukšā dūšā” (“On an Empty Stomach”), created in collaboration with the well-known Latvian rapper Gustavo. The song is accompanied by a colorful and striking music video.

The song, written and produced by Jānis Ķirsis with lyrics by Inga Gaile, was recorded at Studio “Auss”. Thanks largely to Gustavo’s influence, the track stands out as an unusually distinctive composition for “Framest”.

The group had long planned to collaborate with one of Latvia’s most famous rappers, but until now, their creative schedules and energy hadn’t aligned. Finally, the right moment arrived — resulting in a new song and video that will surely surprise listeners used to hearing “Framest” exclusively in a cappella performances.

“I’m grateful to ‘Framest’ for inviting me to collaborate at this particular time,” says Gustavo. “The result is a powerful and colorful track. I believe I managed to write a verse that will likely remain one of my personal favorites for a long time. The creative process was smooth and mutually inspiring, and I’m confident that both the song and the video reflect that perfectly.”

The “Tukšā dūšā” music video was directed by Rihards Gēcis, with cinematography and editing by Valdis Krūmiņš, and lighting design by Matīss Livčāns. The video was filmed at the Benjamiņš House and in the former “Provodņiks” rubber factory.
