Jānis Stībelis Releases New Single “Mans draugs” and Invites Fans to His Anniversary Concert

Musician Jānis Stībelis has released a new single titled “Mans draugs” (“My Friend”), created in collaboration with singers Laima Vaikule, Normunds Rutulis, and Intars Busulis. The song’s music and lyrics are written by Jānis Stībelis, and it also comes with a new music video. The song will be performed at the artist’s anniversary concert on November 14 at VEF Culture Palace.

The song “Mans draugs” is a heartfelt tribute to friendship — to those people who have shared life’s journey with us, and also to those who are no longer here. The message is simple yet deeply personal: no matter where life takes us, the best place to meet friends will always be home — Latvia.

“Friendship is something that must stand the test of time. If friends don’t disappear over the years, if they’re still by your side — that’s true friendship. I wrote this song so that we have something to sing together when we meet at concerts — big or small. So we have one song about friendship,” says Jānis Stībelis.

Jānis Stībelis will celebrate his musical journey with an anniversary concert, performing songs from all 10 solo albums. The concert will feature premieres of new, unreleased tracks, the musician’s most popular hits of all time, and special guests — with plenty of audience sing-alongs.

Joining Jānis Stībelis on stage will be his band: Raimonds Macats, Jānis Kalniņš, Reinis Ozoliņš, Andris Buiķis, Gints Smukais, Gints Pabērzs, and Luīze Gotlaufa. Special guests include the Sōla Choir, conducted by Kaspars Ādamsons, along with other surprise performers.

The anniversary concert takes place on November 14 at VEF Culture Palace. Tickets available at all Biļešu Paradīze outlets and online!
