Keitija shares about the making of the album:
“I was sitting there thinking once again... how the hell do you even make an album? You’d think that since I already released one, I’d know how to do it... (wrong). I tried collaborating with other musicians, forming bands… everything ended in failure. Then I realized — I have to do this myself. My artistic vision is very specific; there’s no room for compromise or anyone else’s musical preferences. I wanted to make an album that people could point to and say — ‘Yes, this is Keitija’s musical signature, no one else would’ve made it like this.’ So I decided to produce the album myself, because I wanted to challenge myself as a music producer and show the musical world and sound perception that lives within me. Still, I knew it could be even better — and Kārlis Grīnbergs helped me polish and elevate the album to the next level. That’s the physical story of how the album came to be. As for the content… well, you’ll just have to listen.”

Keitija is the author and producer of both the lyrics and music. The album was created in close collaboration with co-producer Kārlis Grīnbergs, with mixing and mastering by Kārlis Grīnbergs and Ernests Vīgners.

In 2023, Keitija Bārbale’s debut acoustic solo album “Akmens Dievs” received the Latvian Music Recording Award “Zelta mikrofons” for Best Alternative or Indie Album.

On November 29, the artist invites listeners to the album presentation concert for “mazāk nekā trīs” at K. K. Fon Stricka Villa, performing together with her live band — “Keitija Bārbale un 4 radiatori”.
