All 10 Choir Leaders of the Show "Choir Wars" Revealed

The long-awaited new season of the show "Choir Wars" promises to be an unforgettable event, and finally, the ten choir leaders are revealed! Each of them is a vibrant and unique personality who will add to the magic of the show with their experience and charisma. This musical project, which unites singers from various cities and regions of Latvia, has always stood out with unforgettable performances and touching moments, and this year it promises to be no less special.

Among the choir leaders are both well-known stage veterans and the new leaders of today's musical landscape. They represent a wide variety of musical styles and genres – from pop music and jazz to folk and alternative music, offering diversity that will captivate every viewer. For the participants of the show, they will be both an inspiration and mentors, helping to create performances that will speak to all of Latvia.

Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis (Riga Choir)
A resident of Riga, and the lead vocalist of the band “Sudden Lights.” He has been involved with music since childhood when he met his future bandmates at Pāvuls Jurjāns Music School. He graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music and is a professional clarinetist. Together with the band “Sudden Lights,” he has released three studio albums and performs throughout Latvia every year. In 2023, he represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest and has since regularly performed at concerts and festivals in Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Kristīne Pāže (Aizkraukle Choir)
Kristīne is one of the brightest Latvian singers, songwriters, and the founder of the band “Kautkaili,” whose unique voice timbre and musical talent have won the hearts of both listeners and critics. She has been nominated multiple times for her original works and has won two Music Recording of the Year Awards, “Golden Microphone.” Her talent as a performer, composer, and lyricist showcases not only her technical mastery but also her deep emotional connection to her art, which is a perfect example of how music and personality can merge into a harmonious whole.

Renārs Kaupers (Jelgava Choir)
A Latvian musician, song lyricist, the leader, and vocalist of the band “Prāta vētra.” The band “Prāta vētra” was formed in 1989 in Jelgava by five friends from Jelgava Secondary School 1, and since then, it has become one of the most popular Latvian music groups of all time. He has also participated in various musical collaborations, written music for theater performances, and acted in several films.

Aminata (Riga Choir)
A talented singer and songwriter with a strong, powerful, and deeply emotional voice. Her vocal timbre is unmistakable. She has released three studio albums, two mini-albums, and more than 25 singles, and is currently working on a new album. In 2015, she represented Latvia at Eurovision, achieving an impressive 6th place, and is the author of the song “Heartbeat,” with which Justs Sirmais represented Latvia at Eurovision the following year. She is not only a singer and performer of magnificent concerts but also a dancer, as demonstrated in the show “Dancing with the Stars.”

Katrīna Dimanta (Baldone Choir)
An energetic musician, composer, manager, and the owner of a powerful and unique voice, also one of the Dr. Clowns at the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. She began her musical career as a child and is proficient in many instruments, including cello, violin, kantele, accordion, mandolin, recorder, and piano. She manages several music groups, produces various events, and still performs. Her music has delighted audiences around the world – in America, Canada, China, Brazil, Australia, Turkey, and Europe. She has also participated in the show “Choir Wars,” representing the Riga Red Choir, and in the show “Singing Families.”

Markus Riva (Talsi Choir)
Markus is a versatile and creative artist, whose talents extend far beyond singing and songwriting. He is not only a popular musician but also a songwriter, producer, DJ, actor, and host of television and radio shows. He graduated from the Riga Dome Choir School as a choir conductor. During his musical career, he has released seven albums and countless singles in Latvian, English, Russian, and Ukrainian.

Arnis Slobožaņins (Daugavpils Choir)
Arnis is a musician, historian, radio personality, and the founder and leader of the band “Dabasu Durovys.” He produced the documentary film “Latgalīši Sibirī,” hosted TV shows like “Feel Latgale” and “Cytaidi Latvian,” and has been the producer and editor of several documentary films. He is also a co-author of the Latvian Radio show “Kolnasāta” and the creator and co-producer of the first Latgalian TV series “Fati.”

Rūta Dūduma-Ķirse (Saldus Choir)
Rūta is a jazz singer, a laureate of several international competitions, the soloist of the vocal group FRAMEST and the musical ensemble Vintāža, and a TV show participant. She actively performs, participates in various theater and musical productions, and teaches vocal lessons. In 2024, she released her solo album “Pajums” and has collaborated with Maestro Raimonds Pauls, “Bermudu divstūri,” Lauri Reiniku, and other well-known Latvian musicians.

Jānis Krūmiņš (Smiltene Choir)
Jānis was born, raised, and still lives in Smiltene. For almost 25 years, his life has been tied to the band “Apvedceļš.” During this time, the band has released 10 studio albums, and several of their songs have become especially beloved by listeners, such as “Zemenes,” “Puika,” “Pienenes,” “Gauja,” and “Īstais vīrs.” He has also collaborated with “Transleiters” and “Bermudu divstūri” and continues to actively perform both in Latvia and occasionally abroad, in places like the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, and elsewhere.

Samanta Tīna (Tukums Choir)
Samanta is from Tukums and made her debut on the big music stage in 2010, winning the musical reality show “O!Kartes Akadēmija.” She has participated several times in the Latvian National Eurovision selection and represented Latvia in the song contest in 2021. She has also taken part in Lithuania’s TV shows “The Voice” and “Žvaigždžiu duetai,” released two albums, and toured Latvia with sold-out concerts.
