New singer Luīze Burmistrova releases single “Asaras vairs nav tā vērtas”

With the summery, melodic, and country-inspired song “Asaras vairs nav tā vērtas” (“Tears Are No Longer Worth It”), the young songwriter and performer Luīze Burmistrova confidently introduces herself to the music scene. The single, created in collaboration with producer DJ Rudd, carries an emotionally rich message about change and inner liberation.

“The song ‘Asaras vairs nav tā vērtas’ reminds us that pain only holds meaning as long as we learn something from it. It came to life after a special relationship in my life ended, which reminded me that nothing lasts forever, and that it’s not just death that separates people — life does too,” explains Luīze. “Interestingly, the first idea for the song came two years ago, when I recorded a three-second voice memo through tears on my phone. Later, while going through over two thousand other recordings, I found it and played it back — and realized just how genuine those emotions were at that moment. So real that the story needed to become music.”

The sound of “Asaras vairs nav tā vērtas” is enriched not only by DJ Rudd’s production but also by harmonica parts played by Oskars Stolse-Semerovs, adding a signature country feel to the track.

“Meeting Rūdolfs was fateful — he is not only a co-writer and producer of the song, but also someone who has given me valuable advice and support, for which I’m deeply grateful,” Luīze emphasizes.

The music for the song was written by Luīze Burmistrova and Rūdolfs Budze, with lyrics by Luīze Burmistrova. The track was produced, mixed, and mastered by DJ Rudd.

“Asaras vairs nav tā vērtas” is Luīze’s first single in Latvian, although she has already made her mark in music. Previously, she released two English-language singles — her debut “This is My Story” and “Matches”, produced in collaboration with Mārci Jukumsons-Jukumnieks and Krists Indrišonoks.

Although Luīze stepped away from creative work for a time after graduating from music school as a piano major, she realized that music is an inseparable part of her life — something she naturally and confidently returns to.
