Katrīna shares:
“It was exciting to work with such a talented young artist. Markuss has great musicality — he’s easy to collaborate with and explore musical paths together. When he invited me to take part in his album, I was happy to say yes, because we’ve performed in countless shows together, and I know how dedicated, capable, and beautifully he sings. I’m really glad about this collaboration. I believe it’s important to sing about relatable topics — sometimes time flies faster than I’d like, and I long for those quiet mornings to rest and start the day feeling ready. My favorite line from the song is ‘We walk along the river of time, not noticing each other,’ because I feel we often rush past people in our daily lives. It’s something worth reflecting on.”
Markuss adds:
“‘Vēlu rītā’ is about those thought-filled mornings when you just don’t want to get out of bed. Some mornings your mind is full of existential thoughts, and before you know it, it’s already noon. At the same time, it’s about the realization that we’re all connected — everything will fall into place as it’s meant to.”
