“This is my first step in music, but I’m not here just to sing. I’m here to tell stories, to show people my view of the world we live in and how we see it. I put my whole self into art. It’s like a comparison — a hunter and a trap. You put everything into it: knowledge, experience, intuition, feelings. Through music, I can give listeners a part of myself,” Namejs shares.
The song was created in collaboration with producer Kaspars Ansons. “Working with Kaspars was wonderful. I needed someone who could put things into structure and guide me into music, showing me how everything works. I’m a go-with-the-flow kind of person, so having someone so structured alongside me is incredibly helpful. We can deeply philosophize about things. He understands me, but also knows how to teach me,” says Namejs.
“Āderes” is complemented by a visual story — a music video directed by Aleksandrs Bricis. At the center of the video is a symbolic puppet narrative that reflects the essence of the song: gentle and aesthetic, yet with sharp edges that provoke thought and invite a deeper look.
