New Year's Celebration in Old Riga

Riga invites everyone to welcome the arrival of 2025 in the squares of Old Riga – singing, dancing, celebrating the sense of togetherness, and enjoying festive video projections.

The New Year’s celebration will take place in six locations in Old Riga: Town Hall Square, Livu Square, Castle Square, the section of Kalku Street between Valnu Street and Aspazijas Boulevard, the square by the Powder Tower, and the street parallel to 11 November Embankment between Polu Gate and Bishop’s Gate.

During the New Year’s celebrations, popular and beloved DJs from Latvia and beyond will perform, and festive video projections created by Riga's young artists, children, and youth will be displayed on the facades of buildings, in line with the holiday spirit.

DJs Ella, DJ Makree, Funky DJ Elegant, DJ PM2AM, DJ Monsta, and TV host Armands Simsons will provide music and dancing in the squares of Old Riga.

For the convenience of visitors, hot and refreshing drinks as well as snacks will be available at the event venues. Maps of the New Year’s celebration dance areas will be placed throughout Old Riga to help everyone find the most suitable square to joyfully welcome 2025.

The event will take place on December 31 from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with free entry. Please note that fireworks are prohibited at the event. Venue: Old Riga.
