“In moments when everything is going very well, I become restless — because, as strange as it may sound, that’s when inspiration is at its lowest. To create something new, emotions are essential — not only positive ones, but sometimes also negative. So I must confess — I’ve been guilty of stirring up ‘drama’ where there was none, though only on a subconscious level,” says Rihards Bērziņš about the creative process.

“The name ‘Papīra Lidmašīnas’ (‘Paper Airplanes’) symbolizes the band members’ simplicity, joy, and flight of ideas — something both magical and nostalgic. That’s why our music often carries a wide range of emotions,” explains Juris Ludženieks.
