Visitors to the Ferris wheel will also be able to enjoy a unique artistic experience – a digital gallery created in collaboration with the “Zuzeum” Art Centre and the Zuzāns Collection. This will be a rare opportunity to gain a new, enriching perspective on Riga, viewing historical city maps and engravings, 20th-century posters and ads, as well as original works by various artists themed around Riga.
“We are very pleased – a lot of work has been done to make our city even more beautiful, more enjoyable for locals, and more attractive for visitors. The Riga Ferris wheel is ready to welcome guests, providing unforgettable moments and offering a bird’s-eye view of the city. We invite everyone to share beautiful moments with family and friends, as the cabins are spacious enough to enjoy this experience with your loved ones,” says Dimitrijs Uspenskis, board member of SIA “RPR Operators,” the project’s developer.
As previously reported, during the construction of the Riga Ferris wheel, a part of the historic Victory Park – between Uzvaras Boulevard, Raņķa Embankment, Slokas Street, and Aleksandra Grīna Boulevard – was also renovated. The project included a thorough analysis of the park's history, resulting in a detailed study by landscape architect Linda Zaļā. The newly designed pathways reflect the historical layout, while other improvements follow modern 21st-century quality and safety standards – the greenery has been upgraded with respect to existing vegetation, trees have been replanted, lighting installed, comfortable benches added, and safety solutions implemented.
One ride on the Ferris wheel will last 15 minutes.
