"This song has been with us for about ten years. We recorded the first demo while working on our debut album, 'Fantastiski,' but at the time, we were on a completely different wavelength and just weren't ready for it. In a way, 'Otrā Plāna Aktrise' is a reward for those who have been with us all this time. Some may have heard this 'Springsteen-like' guitar motif when we tune up before concerts, so we're happy to finally show what's behind it," the band members note.

Along with the album, "Rīgas Modes" have announced their performance at "Palladium Rīga" on April 25, 2025, which will be their largest solo concert to date. Tickets are available at “Biļešu Serviss” ticket offices and online.
"We've started from the very bottom—playing in basements and bars for beer coupons, and giving up our last savings to record and release albums. Yes, we romanticize music and life in general, but that's just who we are. The path of 'Rīgas Modes' to 'Palladium' wouldn't have been possible without our listeners. So, we are incredibly grateful for all that we've experienced so far and want to create a special night for you—one that only 'Rīgas Modes' can offer. As David Lynch would say—see you on April 25!" invite the band members.
"Rīgas Modes" have released two full-length albums and an EP, which have received praise from music critics. Their album "Fantastiski" won the "Golden Microphone" Music Award for Best Pop Album and the "Austra" Award, given to the best album as judged by music critics. Meanwhile, their record "Patiesie Nodomi" (True Intentions) was awarded the "Golden Microphone" for both Best Pop Album and Best Overall Recording of the Year.
The last large-scale concert before the album release will take place on October 4 at the "Hangar" in Tallinn's quarter. "Rīgas Modes" is a music collective that aims to show that pop music is not just a "dirty" word, blending the glamour of pop with the energy of rock 'n' roll in their concerts. The band consists of: Kalvis Bormanis (vocals), Reinis Papulis (guitar), Madara Gaile (keyboards), Andris Apīnis (bass), Mareks Ameriks (drums), Katrīne Sabīne Kalniņa (saxophone), and Inga Vamze (saxophone).
