This time, Madara wrote the lyrics in English to explore something new and reach a wider audience. Therefore, the song was submitted for Latvia's Eurovision national selection, "Supernova." Part of the lyrics are in Latvian, integrated into the song and complemented by a cello solo and vocal melodies to create a slightly mystical and enigmatic atmosphere. In their upcoming album, the song will be fully in Latvian.
"Bound by the Light" speaks about life’s rhythms tied to nature, in a time when humanity could live without fear—united in the energy of light. The lyrics include symbolic imagery with specific messages. In the chorus, “Bound by the light, we will rise,” the duet creates a sense of unity and explores a deeper meaning, presenting light as something distinctly positive—hope, wisdom, and truth—that unites and inspires people.
The line "Over mountain heights" represents overcoming difficulties and obstacles, while the phrase “Hearts as one, fear is gone” emphasizes that when people unite and their hearts beat in rhythm, there is no place for fear. This symbolizes courage, love, and the power of togetherness. The final phrase in the chorus, "We are everyone," underscores that we are all interconnected as part of a larger whole.
The duet invites listeners to tune into both the song’s lyrics and the music created by the duo during the live broadcast on February 1, on LTV1, as well as on streaming services and radio stations.
"The song was created with the belief that it can offer hope to people who need it, even in the toughest moments. It also encourages moving forward, united in the light and life energy, which is deeply rooted in our hearts and waits to be released so that humanity can find peace," summarizes the song's concept by Madara Fogelmane.
The idea and choreography for the new music video were created by Annika Andersone. The filming and editing work was done by Kalvis Kalsers, with assistance from Rolands Feldmanis, and color correction by Jānis Štāls. The costumes for the duet members were designed by Laura Anspoka together with her colleague Katrīna Zuļģe, and they are part of the fashion brand "Novaliss" collection "Last Lunar Dance." The creative process also involved makeup artist Kristīne Jēgermane-Vaivade and students from the "Benefice" dance school.

Madara Fogelmane studied cello playing at the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. In 2018, she achieved third place in the "Supernova" competition with her song "Esamība," and the song continues to live on as both a "hymn of peace" and a wedding waltz. She later released several singles and her debut solo album "Vienā apziņā," which received a "Golden Microphone" nomination for "Best Intergenre or Instrumental Music Album." She teaches cello at the Saldus Music School, runs her private practice "Cello School" for both adults and children in Riga, and continues to compose and perform.
The second member of the duet "Sinerģija," Inga Marte Līce, is a kanklės player and music therapist. She learned to play the piano from a young age and later began to study playing the ethnographic kanklės. Inga leads musical meditations, where various sensory instruments—such as the kanklės, singing bowls, gongs, bells, and other percussion instruments—are played. She studied the "Art Therapy" program at Rīga Stradiņš University and now works as a music therapist in rehabilitation centers.
The duet's single "Bound by the Light" is available on music streaming platforms and can be heard on the best Latvian radio stations.
