Elīna has noticed that people increasingly complain about the pitfalls of dating apps, including "ghosting," where conversations abruptly end without explanation, the prevalence of fake profiles, and impersonal communication. These apps are designed to maintain user dependency through "dopamine loops," which often result in low self-esteem and anxiety.
“Let Tinder’s swiping thumb take a break this New Year’s Eve,” was Elīna’s wish, and Līga immediately agreed to help organize an event that would bring together 100 free-spirited individuals—people seeking new connections, friendships, or simply a fresh experience on New Year’s Eve.
The “Singles Only” New Year’s Eve party offers a space to meet real people, experience authentic moments, and welcome the New Year with a new adventure.
The evening will be hosted by improv theater actor Mārtiņš Bitāns, ensuring no shortage of fun. The night will feature activities designed to encourage introductions, conversations, and dancing until dawn. There will also be contests, prizes, and exciting surprises. DJs will provide the musical backdrop. Entry is open to single individuals aged 25 and older. The event will run from 8:30 PM to 4:00 AM and will be conducted in both Latvian and English.
The dress code calls for sparkle and elegance. The organizers will provide delicious snacks and sparkling drinks at midnight. Whether you’re seeking conversation, friendship, or a new spark, this night promises to leave a lasting impression.
