This year, "Supernova" will be hosted by Ketija Šēnberga and Lauris Reiniks. During the semi-final, viewers will have the chance to meet the contestants and hear the songs for the first time, while in the final, they will decide the winner. Both the semi-final and the final will be determined by the votes of the audience and the jury—audience votes through calls and SMS, as well as the jury vote.

Out of 96 submissions, the jury selected 20 semi-finalists: Adelina, "Bel Tempo" and Legzdina, Chris Noah, "Citi zēni", Emilija, Grēta, Julianna, Justs, Katrīna Gupalo, "KoBra", Luka, Markus Riva, Marta, Palú, Rūta Dūduma, "Sinerģija", "Tautumeitas", "Tepat", The Ludvig, and Toms Kalderauskis.

Only the top 10 will continue in the final to compete for a chance to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in May 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

All the semi-final songs are available for listening on the LSM.lv portal and the "Supernova" YouTube channel.

The selection of songs and performers for the "Supernova" semi-final was determined by a jury chosen by LTV, consisting of representatives from the Latvian music industry, event sector, and television, as well as international professionals. Due to security reasons, the names of the jury members will only be revealed after the international Eurovision Song Contest in May.

The "Supernova" semi-final will be on February 1 at 21:10, and the final will be on February 8 at 21:10 on LTV1, LSM.lv, and REplay.lv.
