"Supernova" Finalists Announced

In the live semi-final of the Latvian Television (LTV) song contest "Supernova", the ten finalists who will compete on February 8 for the winner's title and the opportunity to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, have been determined based on the combined votes of the jury and viewers.

The winner, chosen by the jury and the public during the February 8 final vote, will earn the right to represent Latvia at the international Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland, in May.

The songs and performers who advanced to the "Supernova" semi-finals were selected by an LTV-appointed jury, consisting of Latvian music industry experts, event professionals, and television representatives, as well as international professionals. For security reasons, the names of the LTV jury members will only be revealed after the international Eurovision Song Contest in May.

A draw has determined that the winning song from "Supernova" will be performed in the second semi-final of Eurovision. Alongside Latvia, this semi-final will also feature Armenia, Australia, Austria, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Montenegro, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Georgia, Israel, Luxembourg, Malta, and Serbia. The second semi-final will take place on May 15, with the final on May 17.
