The Eurovision Song Contest final will take place on Saturday, May 17. France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany automatically qualify due to their significant financial contributions to the contest, as does Switzerland as the previous year’s winner.
In the first semi-final, 15 countries competed, and Estonia, Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, the Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Portugal, and Ukraine advanced to the final. Slovenia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Cyprus did not qualify.

Having won Latvia’s national selection competition “Supernova” in February, the ethno-pop group Tautumeitas earned the right to represent Latvia at Eurovision with the song "Bur man laimi".
The current members of Tautumeitas are Asnate Rancāne, Gabriēla Zvaigznīte, Aurēlija Rancāne, Annemarija Moiseja, Laura Līcīte, and Kate Slišāne.

Eurovision 2024 was held in Malmö, Sweden. The winner was Nemo (Nemo Mettler) representing Switzerland with the song “The Code”. As a result, Switzerland will host the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.
