In the band’s previous work, the saxophone, played by Enriko Korvison, stood out prominently. However, for "Debespuses," Korvison took on the role of producer. He explains, “This project marks the first time that some of the members of 'Tepat' have recorded together. The song was originally created for an academic assignment, but we put it aside. During a creative retreat, we revived it with fresh sounds. After releasing our EP 'Saldāks Par Vīnu,' we realized we couldn’t box ourselves into a single genre, as each of us is drawn to different musical directions. This can be challenging, but it makes the creative process more interesting, and listeners can expect something new every time.”

The band has also decided to give emerging Latvian artists a platform to showcase their work through their music. Each song or album cover is created by various visual artists, allowing them to interpret the music freely. The artwork for the new single was created as a painting by Lība Klinta Jermoļenko, who immediately saw movement and vibrant colors in the song’s theme, interpreting the cardinal directions as the natural world around us. Similarly, the cover of their previous album "Saldāks Par Vīnu" was also a painting, created by artist Hugo Pētersons.
The new song "Debespuses" is available on all streaming platforms from October 3rd. The band "Tepat" formed at the end of last year, bringing together six jazz musicians: Madara Dzene (vocals), Eduards Bariss (guitar), Matīss Barons (keyboards), Enriko Korvison (woodwinds), Krišjānis Laizāns (bass), and Andris Žabris (drums). The group is based on mutual trust, fostered through various musical experiments. Their next concert is set for October 5th at "Tallinas Pagalms."
