“Very Cool People” Announce Palladium Concert with New Single “Dimd Rīga”

The creative energy of the band Very Cool People never stops. Along with the golden autumn comes the release of their new single and video clip “Dimd Rīga”, serving as a preview for their spring show on March 27, 2026, at Palladium Riga. The event — Very Cool People’s Greatest Small Concert — carries the motto: “The best of the best together with the best friends and the best audience in the world.”

The new single stays true to the band’s signature style, blending funk, jazz, dance, and world music into a unique cocktail only Very Cool People know how to mix.
“This instrumental piece is a musical representation of Riga — a city where countless cultures and influences intertwine,” says band leader and guitarist Elvijs Grafcovs. “You can see it in the architecture, the street layouts, and the city’s two contrasting yet inseparable parts — the left and right banks of the Daugava River.”

As the title suggests, the single also incorporates motifs from the Latvian folk song “Rīga dimd.” With this powerful rhythm, Very Cool People invite everyone to their biggest concert yet, featuring their most popular tracks and collaborations with some of their best friends — Daniels Masi, Paula Saija, Edavārdi, Aija Andrejeva, Ralfs Eilands, Kristīne Prauliņa, Žoržs Siksna, Ozols, and many other outstanding artists.

The new composition was written by Elvijs Grafcovs and saxophonist Māris Jēkabsons, with Jānis Kalve assisting in production.
